Its time for an upgrade! We wanted to let you know about some of the exciting new changes taking place to LOVEFiLM over the next couple of months.
Following our merger with fellow online DVD rental company ScreenSelect.co.uk in April 2006, we will now be welcoming ScreenSelect customers into the fold come October, and offering all our members a whole new range of extra benefits. We’re currently hard at work creating an entirely updated version of LOVEFiLM.com with an exciting new look and feel for you to enjoy this autumn.
What do I have to do?
In a word…nothing.
From early October we will be able to offer you a wider range of choice and an enhanced value for money service.
A bigger and better LOVEFiLM
From the autumn you will be able to take advantage of:
- A wider range of DVDs, with more copies available then ever before.
- A new and updated ‘Priority Request’ rental queue system. Meaning you get to watch what you want, when you want it. This exciting new feature will be heading your way shortly.
- Even more reviews and ratings. Come October you will have access to over 300,000 user reviews and 20 million ratings, to help you get the best out of your service.
- Bigger games rental. You will now be able to rent Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, PS2 and Gamecube games - from as little as £1 extra a month.
- The ultimate film downloads. With over 1,000 titles available, you will be able to download to rent or download to own the latest movies and all time classics, as well as watching quality short films for free at the click of a button.
- Exclusive interviews, trailers, film clips, reviews and competitions in our bigger, brighter weekly newsletter and only available on the LOVEFiLM website.
We’re proud that our prices have stayed the same since the beginning - despite the fact that over the past 5 years Royal Mail has increased their prices by 14%. We’re very pleased to say that regardless of their price hike, all customers on our standard 1 or 2 disc unlimited package will experience no change to their current price.
Effective from November, customers on our standard 3 disc unlimited package will experience a small increase of £1, a rise of just 7%. I have been trying to to find your helpline to report a faulty film. I have logged on to your help website as printed on the rear of your disc holder. I have just returned a copy of ‘Chicago’. This disc displays a lot of faults and interference and was not at all enjoyable.
