Simon Calver is the CEO of LOVEFilm, one of Europe’s largest online entertainment services, since its merger with Video Island in 2006. Calver joined Video Island in 2005 as CEO, since when he has not only overseen the merger with LOVEFilm but also the acquisition of Amazons UK and German DVD rental service. Under his stewardship LOVEFilm has grown to a million subscribers with a £70m turnover.
